"Cut Your Hair" is a series of action sentence drawings, where I embroidered black human hair on Japanese washi paper. Each sentence begins with "Cut your hair"... followed by an action. Hair is a symbol of power, beauty and femininity, In "Cut Your Hair," I explore the contrast between cruelty and beauty, as well as the symbolism of hair, and the power that women have to be free in every way.
